SK Godelius partners with A.I. LAMB to launch advanced conveyor intelligence solution in Australia

    Publicado em

SK Godelius, a subsidiary of the Sigdo Koppers Group, has formed a strategic partnership with Australian market growth firm A.I. LAMB to introduce its field-proven conveyor intelligence solution to the Australian mining sector.

This expansion follows a comprehensive assessment of the Australian market conducted in collaboration with A.I. LAMB, aligning with SK Godelius’s broader international growth strategy. Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, SK Godelius maintains an established Canadian presence through NORCAT in Sudbury and is currently establishing an office in Phoenix, Arizona, to accommodate the increasing demand from major North American mining operators.

The proprietary solution leverages autonomous platforms equipped with visual, thermal, and acoustic sensors to meticulously inspect active conveyor infrastructure. The collected data is synthesised into precisely located findings, enabling maintenance teams to identify anomalies, monitor evolving asset conditions, and execute proactive interventions.

The inaugural Australian system is scheduled to commence mine site assessments and comprehensive deployments in September 2026. The technology is designed to detect anomalies early, monitor conveyor asset health over time, and significantly reduce unplanned downtime. To support this strategic rollout, SK Godelius has appointed Sofía Pereira, an experienced robotics engineer. Leveraging her extensive background in field robotics and prior tenure with SK Godelius, Pereira will oversee mine site assessments, system deployments, and customer onboarding processes across Australia.

Fernando Bracco, CEO of SK Godelius, noted that the expansion is a logical progression for the company. “Australia has extensive conveyor infrastructure, sophisticated mining operations and a strong focus on safety, reliability and productivity,” Bracco said. “Our partnership with A.I. LAMB has allowed us to properly understand the market and establish the local capability needed to support customers for the long term.”

Steve Fletcher, Managing Partner at A.I. LAMB, highlighted the operational benefits of the deployment. “The robot captures the attention, but the value is in the conveyor intelligence it creates, consistent and safer inspection coverage, precisely located findings and better information for maintenance teams,” Fletcher stated. “Godelius is entering Australia with many years of proven mining experience, local support and a clear pathway from assessment to deployment.”

A limited number of mine site assessments will commence from September, with interested mining and mineral processing operations encouraged to contact A.I. LAMB directly.
