Deswik has moved to a new office in Almaty, Kazakhstan, to expand its local team, reinforcing its commitment to supporting mining customers across Central Asia, the company says.

The expanded in-country team includes Zhanash Sultanova as Territory Manager and experienced mining specialists. Together, they will provide closer local support and practical technical expertise to mining companies looking to improve planning, design, scheduling, optimisation and operational workflows, Deswik says.

Zhanash Sultanova said: “Having a larger local presence in Almaty allows us to work more closely with mining teams in Kazakhstan and all Central Asia countries and better understand the realities of their operations.

“Our role is to support customers with practical solutions, responsive service and technical expertise that helps connect planning, design and execution more effectively.”

The new Almaty office strengthens Deswik’s ability to work side by side with customers in one of the region’s most important mining markets. With a dedicated local team in place, mining companies in Kazakhstan and CIS will have more direct access to software, consulting, training and support delivered by professionals who understand the practical realities of mining operations.

Borja Arias, Deswik’s Regional Manager for EMEA and CIS, said: “Opening a larger office in Almaty reflects our long-term commitment to Kazakhstan and the broader CIS mining sector and to continue to provide practical support through software, consulting, training and technical expertise shaped by real-world mining challenges.”

As part of Sandvik, Deswik’s local presence also creates stronger opportunities for collaboration and customer support across the mining technology landscape. The Kazakhstan team will work closely with Deswik’s global network of more than 200 mining engineers and specialists, helping customers connect local insight with broader technical capability, the company says.

Nana Bobrysheva, Territory Manager CIS Sandvik Mining and Construction Kazakhstan Ltd., said: “We are pleased to welcome Deswik’s expanded presence in Almaty.

“Customers in Kazakhstan and CIS value close collaboration, practical support and access to proven mining technology, and this local team strengthens our ability to support operations with the expertise and tools they need.”

Deswik will also be presenting at Mining & Metals Central Asia, using this event as an opportunity to engage with mining companies, technical leaders and partners from across the region.

Deswik’s solutions are used at more than 1,330 operations worldwide and are supported by a global team that works across software, consulting, training and technical support. By strengthening its presence in Kazakhstan, Deswik says it is making it easier for customers to access practical expertise, integrated technology and ongoing support tailored to their operations.
