Hexagon released CAS Insights, an analytics application for data generated by the Hexagon Collision Avoidance System. The software gives “a fleet-wide view of safety performance,” the supplier said.
CAS Insights organizes “interaction, overspeed, device status and firmware data by location, shift and time period, helping safety teams move from reviewing individual alerts to understanding patterns across the operation,” Hexagon said. Historical data is processed to identify trends for continuous improvement purposes. “The application gives safety managers objective evidence to identify recurring hotspots, confirm whether controls are working as intended and focus improvement efforts where risk is concentrated.” The software also helps monitor CAS coverage and reduces blind spots.
Leadership at Hexagon said the solution delivers critical, actionable intelligence. “CAS Insights turns the data already being generated by collision avoidance systems into a clearer picture of risk across the fleet,” said Dave Goddard, president, Hexagon’s Mining Division. “That helps customers validate controls, target improvement and make safer, more consistent decisions.”
These capabilities contribute to operational efficiency gains and improved uptime, Hexagon said.
CAS Insights is an extension to Hexagon CAS, requires no custom data mapping, supports customer-managed map tile integration with WMS and is accessible through a web browser.
