GR Engineering Services to build 1.5 Mt/y processing plant for Develop’s Yitirrti mine

    Publicado em

GR Engineering Services Limited has executed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Venturex Sulphur Springs Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Develop Global Limited, in relation to the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the 1.5 Mt/y Yitirrti (formerly known as Sulphur Springs) copper-silver-zinc project, in Western Australia.

As announced on June 10, 2026, GR Engineering had been appointed as preferred contractor for the project. The contract value is A$275 million ($196 million). Early works and ordering of long lead items had previously commenced.

The processing plant will have a nameplate capacity of 1.5 Mt/y and produce separate copper-silver and zinc concentrates, Develop says, explaining that the total capital cost of Yitirrti is estimated to be A$450 million, including the processing plant.

Construction is progressing to schedule on all fronts with access roads and earthworks well advanced and underground development running ahead of schedule, according to Develop.First concentrate is on track for the June quarter of 2028.

Develop Managing Director, Bill Beament, said: “GR Engineering Services is the leader in its field and has done an outstanding job at Woodlawn, where it refurbished and upgraded the processing plant. The plant has already achieved steady-state throughput rates and is performing extremely well, particularly given the short time it has been operating.

Tony Patrizi, Managing Director of GR Engineering Services, said: “This project further enhances GR Engineering’s reputation as the leading minerals processing EPC contractor in Australia across a broad range of commodities.”
